We went with quartz because it’s the only material that doesn’t crack when the temperature swings wildly. We also cranked up the wattage. The result? Your oven heats up incredibly fast. But there’s a catch. Those tubes gethot. Really hot. If your oven isn’t vented properly, that heat can build up and warp the metal frame or fry your wiring. It’s a beast of a heater, so you’ve got to give it room to breathe.
Keeping Things Running
We know parts eventually wear out. That’s why we made these tubes easy to swap. When a filament finally gives up, you don’t have to call an electrician or tear apart the control board. You just pop the old tube out and slide a new one in. Simple. One quick tip:Keep the tubes clean. If grease builds up on the glass, it creates “hot spots.” Not only does that make your pizza brown unevenly, but it can actually burn out the tube way faster than it should. A little cleaning goes a long way.
