Most standard lamps give up the ghost at the pinch seal or just can’t handle the thermal shock of turning on and off. We switched to a reinforced quartz glass. It handles those rapid heating cycles without breaking a sweat. Inside, we’ve dialed in the halogen cycle. This keeps the tungsten moving back onto the filament so it doesn’t thin out and snap.
