Most standard lamps just dump heat onto the outer skin. It’s messy. We use a specific quartz blend and a very particular way of winding the filament to shift how the energy moves. Basically, the IR energy soaks deeper into the preform wall. When those bottles are spinning at high speed, the heat spreads evenly from the inside out. No more “cold spots.” And no more worrying about the walls thinning out and popping during the blow cycle. It just works.

A Reality Check from the Shop Floor
Here’s the thing: when you’re pushing this much energy into a preform, your cooling blowers have to be on their game. If your airflow is clogged or acting up, that radiant heat has nowhere to go, and your housing is going to take a beating. Also, please, for the love of your equipment, keep your reflectors polished. A dirty reflector kills your heat penetration. Then, you’ll be tempted to crank the voltage to compensate, which is the fastest way to burn through a lamp. We build these things to last, but they can’t do the heavy lifting if the oven isn’t being looked after.
